As a rule I don't do shifters...but...

Rack & Ruin - Charlie Cochet

I will happily do THIRDS. I enjoyed the first 3 books in this series so freakin' much. Were they perfectly written? I don't know and I don't care. I'll let the serious critics take care of reviewing that. All that mattered to me was that I couldn't get enough of these books.

I was involved I loved how well Dex and Sloane fit together. Dex loves his fun and at times he may have a slightly off kilter sense of humour but don't fool yourself it doesn't make him stupid or oblivious to what's going on around him. He's got his serious side and it comes out when it's needed, he's just one of those people who refuses to take himself to seriously or let life get him down robbing him of the good times that there are to be had and that's not a bad way for anyone to be as long as it's balanced. He's also a good match for Sloane, who has been too serious and needs to get back to the land of the living and reconnect with some feelings besides guilt and grief. I like these two men, for me, they worked well together.

Next we have Cael and Ash, who for whatever reason are my personal favourites. In part at least I think it's because I like how simply by his presence Cael could calm and sooth the savage beast that was big, tough, grouchy, sarcastic Ash.  Yeah, Ash was putty in his hands and god help the person who tried to harm Cael because Ash was going to go King of the Jungle on their ass. It was great until things changed...so yeah, I need a story about these two I need them to end up in a better place than where they've been left.

And then we have Calvin and Hobbs. Seriously, Calvin and Hobbs! Need I say more? I didn't think so, but I am looking forward to reading more. These two have some issues to work through and they're doing that in the background but I'm looking forward to having their story front and centre where we can find out all the details.

And the big surprise for me is Hudson and Seb, I don't know if there's a book or a novella, a story maybe planned for these two? But I'm hopin' and a prayin' because I like them too.

Indications are that there will be at least 3 more books in this series and I plan on being there for every one of them.  Book 4 is due out in February which seems like forever from now because book 3 left me hanging over a cliff by the tips of my fingers and I know from the reviews that I'm not hanging on that cliff alone so at least if I fall I'll have company.
