I love Rusty and Oliver and the family create for themselves. I really just don't even know where to begin. Amy Lane is and probably always will be one of my favorite authors. I love her stories, her characters are very real for me because so often I see bits of someone I know in them and it just draws me into the story.

This has definitely become one of my favorite stories, I wanted to just wrap Rusty up in love to give him the mother who should have said "You're perfect the way you are just be true to yourself and follow your heart. Because mothers are suppose to do that, they're not suppose to set conditions and terms on loving their children.

And then there was Oliver, so perfect for Rusty. Oliver had the family that loved and supported without condition, they gave of their hearts. Oliver had the strength to be himself no matter what the world thought and he gave Rusty not just a boyfriend and lover but a friend. Someone who believed in him and gave him strength when he needed it.

This was the perfect book to end my Christmas story marathon with. Not that I won't be reading any Christmas stories before next year, just time to take a break and see what else is out there.
