This one gets all the stars...5 bright and shiny stars...wow!

Enlightened was the perfect ending to this story. I truly wish I had the words to describe how much I enjoyed this series. I know I've said it before and I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here but historical romance so not my thing. But I am so glad I made the exception for this series.
The characters in this book were fantastic I loved Murdo and David, who may have started out a little on the boring side, grew into a man with depth, character and conviction. I loved the growth that both he and Murdo went through as individuals and together as a couple creating the wonderful men that we were left with.
The setting oh my god, London, Edinburgh, Scotland. If you've never been let me tell you it's beautiful. Such old world charm, steeped in history and the architecture from a time when cookie cutter was a baking term and not something that applied to architecture. Sorry, I love England and Scotland and I got sidetracked for a moment.
Finally the ending; perfect, absolutely perfect! The only way things could have been better was if there had been more Iain Sinclair. But for now I will just sigh happily and be content with the story I was given and say thank you to Ms Chambers for creating these wonderful stories and to Sock Poppet for creating the reading challenge that pushed me towards this lovely series of books.
